MeRegio's test customers — all different but all together
Where would this project be without our energy pioneers? Nowhere, because they are test driving it for us and with us. To make this as diverse as possible we have given them very different sets of equipment . All parts of the smart grid are hereby being tested in many different ways.

The energy traffic light consumer
The "Do-it-yourself option" — he directly reacts to the dynamic price signal represented by our energy traffic light.
The consumer with smart appliances
The smart appliances are controlled by the MeRegio signal. The test customer has a mobile display which means that he is always in control.
The decentralised producer
He feeds all of the energy which his production plant generates directly into the smart grid — and also provides information about the amounts of energy he has generated for his region.
The producer in control of his production
He does not only have an energy production plant but is also able to decide for himself when exactly his combined heat and power plant should produce energy.
The storing consumer
He additionally has a storage unit in the cellar – and thus also tests improved and automated load shift for us with the help of the dynamic price signal.
The storing producer
In addition to the decentralised production plant he also has a storage unit. This means that he can decide for himself when he feeds energy into the network and can contribute towards taking some of the strain off the public network.
